Welcome to the Juneau Food Tours Blog. My name is Kelly “Midgi” Moore. Most people call me Midgi, which is my nickname and the name of my food column and food blog, Meals with Midgi. I guess you could say I am a true food enthusiast.  I love eating food, cooking food, reading about food, and when I travel I love participating in food tours. This is why I started Juneau Food Tours.  Alaska food tastes incredible and I wanted to share my passion for great food and my love for Alaska’s beautiful capital city.

The photo you see above is the deli case at Panhandle Provision, one of the delicious stops on the tour. The meats are smoked in-house and the cheese are imported from various locations. I’m delighted to say that they are also now making their own pasta and fresh baked ciabatta bread.
