Taste Alaska! Boxes

Yes, all tickets are purchased via our online ticketing service. If you are having difficulty with the online service, please call or email us and we will gladly assist you. For private groups, please contact us and we will invoice you.

Do I Need To Purchase Tickets In Advance?

We get it, things happen and sometimes plans need to change. Given the nature of our tours, our cancellation policy is a full refund if canceled prior to 48 hours of the tour. If within 48 hours, there is no refund. If for any reason your cruise ship does not come to Juneau or Juneau Food Tours cancels the tour, we will offer a full refund.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

Juneau is located in the beautiful Tongass National Forest, which is the largest temperate rainforest in the world. We tend to get quite a bit of rain. This is what makes Juneau and Southeast Alaska so beautiful. Locals refer to the rain as “liquid sunshine.” We encourage guests to wear a lightweight rain jacket because rain or shine, we will dine!

What If It Is Raining?

Most definitely! While the Prohibition Progressive Party doesn’t provide city history, it includes unique and quite colorful history of the era. Many locals end the tour with “I never knew that!”

I Live In Juneau, Should I Go On The Tour?

Each tour is designed to provide enough food for a hearty lunch, yet not leave participants so full that they cannot continue enjoying their visit in Juneau. Our goal is to ensure you have a “happy belly.”

OK, So Food Is Included. How Much Food?

Give us a call! We may have openings on tours that aren’t listed online. Some tours are for a particular cruise line, but we love to add additional guests when possible. Our direct line is (907) 723-8478.

What If I Don't See A Time/Date That Works For Me?

Yes and thank you! Imagine you are having a sit-down dinner at a fine restaurant. A food tour is similar, except that you’re going to different locations for your meal. Your ticket includes gratuities to each location; however your culinary host greatly appreciates them! Typical gratuities range from 15 – 20% of the ticket price.

Are Gratuities Accepted?

No. The walking area is very small and our guides are happy to help you find your way to your next adventure location.

Do Juneau Food Tours Start And End At The Same Location?

The menu features the best in Alaska seafood. It is not ala carte therefore we cannot make substitutions. If you have a serious allergy, please let us know in advance so that we prepare adequately.

What About Food Allergies?

Wheelchairs and scooters are most welcome. However, we do a considerable amount of walking and standing, which may not be a good fit for those with canes or walkers. We encourage participants to gauge their own abilities as to whether these issues will be barriers.

Is The Tour Wheelchair Accessible?

The tour will have stops with restroom facilities.

Are There Bathroom Breaks On The Tour?

Absolutely! The tour time has been scheduled to allow for some quick shopping at the retail destinations. We even provide you a shopping bag to take back your tasty goodies.

Can We Shop On The Tour?

Juneau is our home base: we know the people, the venues, the tides, and the tricks that make events here seamless. But we also have strong connections across Alaska. If your event takes you to Sitka, Anchorage, or beyond, we can tap into our extended network to help you build something just as thoughtful and well-executed.

Do You Only Work In Juneau?

Absolutely. Whether it’s a one-night team dinner or a 5-day program, we build from the ground up to reflect your goals.

Can You Build Multi-day Experiences?

Not at all. We regularly work with groups as small as 10–15 when the stakes are high and the expectations are personal.

Is This Just For Big Groups?

Yes. We’ll incorporate your team’s preferences into the experience, whether that’s food, activity level, or overall tone.

Can You Support Dietary Needs Or Wellness Goals?

The sooner the better, especially for peak summer months. That said, we’ve pulled off full-scale events with just a few weeks’ notice.

How Far In Advance Should We Reach Out?

Proposals typically include planning, vendor coordination, food & beverage, rentals, hosts, and onsite guest support. No hidden fees. No surprises.
